Untypical

The typical 19-year-old makes mistakes, needs advice and could use some support from a caring adult. There are more than 300 19-year-olds who age out of the Nebraska foster care system each year, and they all need the same kind of support other teens are getting from their families.

The only difference is they had no one to go to for help—until now.

Project Everlast is a statewide, youth-led initiative committed to providing resources, connections and support to young adults as they age out of foster care. Project Everlast’s foster youth services help ensure a smooth transition from foster care to adulthood. Our goal is to empower them to build successful lives as independent adults.
